About Lesson
ITIL 4 places a strong emphasis on continual improvement. The Continual Improvement Model is a structured approach for identifying improvement opportunities, planning initiatives, executing changes, and assessing their impact. The model ensures that organizations don’t just maintain the status quo, but instead evolve and adapt to changes in technology, business requirements, and customer needs.
The Continual Improvement Model is broken down into these steps:
- What is the vision?: Clarify the overall goals and objectives for improvement.
- Where are we now?: Understand the current state of services and performance.
- Where do we want to be?: Define the desired future state or objectives for improvement.
- How do we get there?: Plan the actions and steps required to achieve improvements.
- Take action: Implement the changes and improvements.
- Did we get there?: Measure the results of the changes.
- How do we keep the momentum going?: Continue monitoring and further improving services, making continual improvement a core part of the organization’s culture.
